MBLAQ’s 타이틀곡 ‘전쟁이야 (It’s War) MV

So MBLAQ in 2012….still hot as they were in 2011. MBLAQ has just release the music video to their upcoming 4th mini album 100% Ver. The music video includes a story line with Thunder, Joon, and some girl. The story basically is Joon is getting ready to assassinated the girl but then he sees someone in the car so he takes off to chase the girl and another man. The girl is shot in the shoulder and the guy is killed. Meanwhile, Joon takes care of the girl and then goes out to the junkyard practicing shooting with some special silver bullet that curves around (it’s important at the end). Then Thunder rolls in the video. He starts off looking for someone in the junkyard, have no idea what he is doing and then he starts taking care of the girl. They basically fall in love with each other and Joon walks in on a tender moment. Angry, he drags the girl out to the junkyard and then Joon and Thunder have a little fist fight until he brings out the gun. The girl throws herself in front of Thunder and Joon fires the gun. In slow motion the music video reveals that it’s the special silver bullet. As it curves around, tears are shown to come out of Joon’s eyes. The bullet ends up hitting Joon on the right side of his neck. Shock, Thunder and the girl run to Joon and basically watches him die.

So now it’s time to review the song. The song is close to a ballad but not quite there. Mir’s rapping skills are just awesome in this song and it fits so well in the song. I’m glad Thunder is able to shine a little bit more than the usual. A new trivial of MBLAQ for the year of 2012. Did you know that Thunder’s vocals are not on MBLAQ debut mini album? The vocals are actually done by a former member and Thunder joined in the last minute; however, all live vocals was done by Thunder. Support the artist by buying the mini album on YesAsia. Sadly, Mnet does not allowed downloads outside of Korea anymore so there is no way to easily support them digitally (Korea does better in digital sales than physical). If there is legal digital website for K-pop purchases I will post about it as soon as I figure it out.

Trouble maker is just too sexy and You Know It!

Sooooo when I first heard the news of Trouble Maker I was like “Oh cool release featuring the awesome Hyuna of 4minute!” Then my next thought was, “Damn, more haters are going to be B***".” However, I didn’t really know Hyunseung (BEAST) but after looking at a few videos on youtube, it seems he was on an audition show for Big Bang but wasn’t chosen in the end. He also seems to have the most feminine features but despite this, the boy can dance. CUBE finally unleashes the MV and it’s HOT. The whistling is soooo addicting that I’m bought ready to make it my ringtone hehe. Before I post the MV, did anyone see the MAMA performance by BEAST and Trouble Maker. An orchastra version was played first along with a provactive dance and steamy kiss by Trouble Maker and then back to the original score of Fiction. It’s awesome. Plus Hyuna won an award for best solo dancer and BEAST won the award for best performance. YAY! GO CUBE! Check out the MAMA performance and the MV. Support the unit and buy the mini album! It’s completely awesome. I was going to use up all my won on mnet to buy the mini album but not Korea is restricting their music and now foreigners outside of Korea cannot download . Not to sound mean but I want to either spend my 2,400won or get a refund because it’s not going to sit there and never be used.

So I know people hate on Hyuna because she is like in everything! People, she sells… get over it! Anyway we got a hot new unit coming from CUBE and the teasers are HOT! Like seriously, no words can describe how pump I am for December 1st to roll around. Trying not to get too excited just in case I’m disappointed lol but I’m usually not when it involves Hyuna…just saying. OKAY here are the the awesome three teasers. The first two is what companies usually send in the music problems like Mnet and Music Bank to give the audience a preview what’s coming out the following week. The third teaser…..it’s hot! Enough said….

So I had this review on my phone but completely forgot about it until I started watching the music video on my iPod touch. So 4Minute is releasing a new Japanese single. I believe this is their 6th if I’m not mistaken. Anyway here is the music video….

So what I like … it’s an original! Seriously no more remakes. Also leader completely shine in this MV. Hyuna is my bias but sometimes a little less of her is sometimes a good thing. However I’m disappointed that no rap was included in this song. Everyone got pretty much equal amount of screen time. Someone from allkpop actually count the time and Hyuna actually came in second so no Hyuna hating people!!!! The song turned out better than I thought it would. Due to my car accident draining most of my bank account, I will unfortunately be going digital with this release like I did with Heart to Heart (Japanese Ver. ). Its a good thing I still have money in my iTunes Japan account.

So the Wonder Girls are finally back in their homeland. Well I must say, I am a little disappointed that the song wasn’t what I thought it would be but it’s cute and I can imagine myself just humming it while I wait on the clients at work to finish whatever group activity they are doing. Anyway here is the MV with English subtitles. The best thing about likely Wonder Girls and Miss A, English translations of the song are provided on the day of the release.

Sooo guess who got their groove back? Totally not me, I have like 3 papers and a project all coming up at once!!!! Grad school is so depressing. Especially if you work full-time and never see your friends because they always have awesome weekends at a theme park. Yeah, it sucks sometimes but on to good things. Wonder Girls are finally coming back to Korea and they are totally NOT doing the retro thing (YES!!!!).

Soooo what do you think. I think I’m totally buying this song in iTunes next week.

Miss A Returns with Good Bye Baby

So Miss A. has comeback with a full lenght album with the lead title track “Good Bye Baby.” This time the table turns a little bit. With the release of the first two singles “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe” Min and Suzy usually sing the verses while Fei and Jia sing the course. In the special release of Love Alone, everyone has a verse and a line of the chorus. This title track of their first full release album, Jia and Fei sing the verses while Min and Suzy sing the chorus. While the song itself is good, I kind of wish Min and Suzy sound the verses, something about their voices always made it suitable and work very well. But this… this song is great. It’s available on Mnet and itunes!!!!!!

So I’m like really late with this post. I was originally writing this when the MV came out but I was suddenly called into work…I don’t understand how some people are able to keep employment with this sudden “illness” they are developing. If you are going to call off work, don’t tell people your plans to party and bring in a doctor’s excuse because your “stomach” hurts from drinking to much.

The song kind of reminds me of Take It Easy but I kind of like it a little bit better than Take It Easy. Once again we left without a dance shot. Overall I like the look and feel of the music video. Miyabi is beautiful and so is her nails. I sometimes forgot C-ute and Berryz Koubou aren’t kids anymore and most of them are 17-19 years of age. The lyrics are at the end of the post. Sorry I don’t have time to romanized it. Thanks to Seishun Kashi for the lyrics.
