Yeah so there is a big discussion over at JPM about these photos. I’m sure Paul will be enjoying this photobook but everyone else is giving this photobook a hard time. I don’t see anything wrong with as it’s nothing compare to what I see everyday. I can see this being Koharu’s best photobook but people has got to stop comparing Japanese idols to American idols. Unlike American idols, Japanese idols has rules which the most known one about the “virgin” apperance.

at first i was kinda startled about those prevews but,it made me relise that koha’s 16 now. and i guess this is one way of showing her maturity. but wee there realy reasons for the person to show her but? lol.
Comment by nono-chan July 25, 2008 @ 12:22 amI think a lot of people are forgetting the H!P kids photobooks and realize that Koharu’s around their age. I guess it’s hard but H!P Kids Maimi, Erika, Saki, and Momo are older than Koharu and I don’t really see people giving Maimi and Momo are hard time (or Airi and Risako) about their photobooks. I think Koharu’s are completely fine.

She just seems more natural that way and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like her that much. But there will likely always be butt shots in the photobooks because they already know the majority of people going to buy the book are guys. =\ It’d be nice if they could release a gender neutral photobook but alas, I don’t work for UFA. In Koharu’s defense, compared to some of the bikini shots I’ve seen from other H!P photobooks, she doesn’t look anorexic. A bikini actually looks very nice on her. I think if Kussun ever left the idol business that she could be one heck of a model.

I got my copy yesterday afternoon but have only had a chance to have a quick flick through it, lol I’ve got quite a pile of PBs that I’ve got at home and haven’t had a chance to go through them properly, Koha’s will definitely be first on my list to go through.
I haven’t really read that much about the commotion about the photos, I had a look on the H!O forums but it didn’t really seem that bad, from what I could tell most people were liking the photos.
To me these shots are fine they’re no more revealing than any of her others, just look at her POP PB, I’m sure she’s doing almost the exact same pose as the last one but in stripy bikini, I think…I’ll have to check when I get in. And the amount of bum shots in POP are quite high, I think in my post about it when I recieved my copy I mentioned it…and how I liked it, she does have a great bum ;p
Koha bashing seems to be an ever popular pass time and I’m guessing this is just tagging on to that, I guess there’s the possibility that unlike Sayu’s recent move into a more sexier images in her PB, perhaps people just aren’t ready to see Koha in this way?
Comment by paul.thomas July 29, 2008 @ 9:09 amAt first, when I saw the pic of Koharu in the hotpants, I thought that that particular look and pose didn’t suit Koharu. However, there are worse poses and worse outfits they could have done, and looking at the photobook itself, I feel the intent was to show *all* the aspects of Koharu, even ones that we might not realize or have a hard time seeing her as.
And as nono-chan mentioned, Koharu is now 16, and I doubt she’ll be stuck doing Kirarin*Revolution forever. I think she will gradually move to a more mature image.

Koharu is really pretty.
